Tastyby smithmaComment by Lydia: I wouldn't want my portrait made with half focused food. It just doesn't seem like a pet portrait to em. Also, the nose/mouth should be more focused. Increase DOF? |

Foggy night in Dallasby smithmaComment by brownguy: While I am always a sucker for cool night pictures like this, the line doesn't lead me anywhere interesting, nor does it get my attention first. Try putting it in the bottom right or left and make the road go to a particular landmark. |

Foggy night in Dallasby smithmaComment by Camabs: I am not sure whether there is an unambigious definition of leading lines, but in my book, they should be a line or several lines that lead the viewer's eye towards the main subject of the picture. I think that's not the case in this picture. Your pic uses a vanishing point rather than leading lines. |

I'm not sure I agree that this combination can't work, but I'm a beginner.
This was taken with available light because I don't have access to a light kit. I was playing with my camera's manual mode settings and I wanted to take a new picture for my DPC profile. |

Foggy night in Dallasby smithmaComment by PHOTOKID: Nice night shot, Good timed exposure to capture the cars like that. I like how you got the diagonal to almost totally accross the frame, I like the rule of third placement for it as well. Great perspective I like the view that we are above the roadway.
(Not included in voting as it is basic editing)
Once the challenge is over I would go back and try to tone down the light in the center and the sign on the building as the brightness attracts my attention to those points first. |
