An interesting composition. I just think that the palm tree, and the tree behind it, are too dark. Also, the figures don't seem to possess much much definition, there's not much contrast between the figures and the tres. It's almost like two seperate objects, and my eyes seem to switch between the two, unsure of which to look at. Still, the composition is a good idea, definitely photo worthy.

I love old machinery in pictures, good job capturing the threads on that bolt. My only suggestion would be to make the lighting more harsh or less warm to complement the rugged subject. Good job, 8/10.

Like the rusty bolt but would like it to be even closer without part on left.

Great macro good color and sharpness. You cartured everything including the rust and peeling paint. even managed to get the wood grain well defined and in focus. While impressive from a photo graphic stand point. Its just not very interesting as a poster to hang on a wall. Keep Up the great work

I think you had a great idea here - those rusty - rich texture nut, bolt and strap are very interesting. And I like how you have using depth of field with the right area sharp fading off into the background on the left. Compositionally this one would have been better if you had placed the right vertical threads more in the thirds position - leaving a little bit of "breathing" room on the right.

Your lighting could have been better, but it's a good subject.

Seems to be tipping to the right a bit, which is distracting. The DoF is good, but I'd like to see more contrast in post processing to really bring out the rusty colours.

Comment by _wu_:
I would recommend playing a bit with contrast etc.
Taking the contrast up, along with increasing saturation could make much better effect.
Would loose the 'snapshot' look. Still a nice picture :)
