This is an interesting photo compositionally. It just doesn't say 'new' to me. The title suggests a 'new' day and I just don't see it. Maybe this object in the photo has some sort of 'new day' symbolism that I'm not familiar with... - jmsetzler

There is something very striking about this photo, but I can't put my finger on it. Is that the sun reflecting off the bottom of the (whatever it is)? If so, (and this is just intended as constructive critique) if it was possible to catch the rising sun in the distant horizon, the impact would have been grand!

I like this a lot, but I can't quite figure out what it is. Is it a lawn ornament? Whatever the case, I can't help but like it!

A very interesting shot. I like the fact that you got a couple of bonus stars in the frame, too. I can't see how this happened, most of the shot is terribly clear, but a couple places on the tower seem distorted, like under the circle that is divided into three sections and below and to the right of the clock. Could these be caused by moving shadows (trees)? Odd crop job in my opinion, but you must have had your reasons. Finally, the window in the bottom probably should have been cropped off. With all these comments, you'd think I was panning this shot, wouldn't you? (have I kept you in enough suspense?) 8 Swash
