a catby dee_deeComment by Gatorguy: The compostion is lacking in interest. Try more off center and from a different and more interesting perspective. In general, shots of animals on the ground from the human eye level are difficult to compose in an interesting way. |

a catby dee_deeComment by basia03: cat pictures more often than not leave me cold, but not this one - very very nice! wonderful composition, lighting and texture... could've been a little larger, up to 640 on the tall side... 10. |

a catby dee_deeComment by Zoomdak: Maybe a different placement of this cat in the frame would have made this more interesting. |

a catby dee_deeComment by MrYu: i think cats and sunsets should be officially forbidden at dpc. |

a catby dee_deeComment by rscorp: The space above the cat isn't all that interesting, but it looks like you have some nice contrasts and detail happening in the leaves at the bottom, and some nice tonal range in the tiles. I think a tighter shot focusing from the cat down would have been more interesting. |

a catby dee_deeComment by hlswilson: I like this shot quite a bit, but I would like to have seen the top 1/4 or 1/3rd cropped. Nice contrast. 7 |

a catby dee_deeComment by ahaze: It might be a good idea to try to photograph something more original for the next DPC challenge. Keep trying! |

a catby dee_deeComment by dipaulk: I do not object to cat photographs -- in fact I am a cat-lover. And I think you had a great opportunity here with the cat's "attitude" and leaves with the lines in the bricks. This is one of those occasions where I think uring the rule of thirds and placing the cat on one of the interestions would have worked nicely. I would have rated it higher with a better composition, but do like it :) |
