Rose of Sharonby SunnieeComment by emorgan49: I especially like the shadow of the leaf behind the flower. it imitates the shape of the stamen in an interesting way. |

Rose of Sharonby SunnieeComment by oOWonderBreadOo: my eyes keep wandeing back to the orange and green? Maybe you could have cropped even closer because that red in the center of the flower is (I think) an exquisite example of the complimenary color scheme |

Rose of Sharonby SunnieeComment by nico_blue: nicely done, i think the yellow-orange in the upper left is a bit distracting since it is neither balanced in any way in the lower right or by a complementary color which in this case would be blue. But good use of red and green as complements. I agree with much of what has been said below but I would also manybe suggest a crop to isolate the focal point of the shot.
otherwise a good job!

Rose of Sharonby SunnieeComment by DustDevil: I would have to agree. I feel the backlighting is what is causing the difference between the pinks and whites. But not distracting to me at all. I do feel the slight greens in the center make the red feel richer. Nice use of them. |

Rose of Sharonby SunnieeComment by Sunniee: I think the white part is the backlighting showing through... or a reflection from something because the flower is pink... just a guess Message edited by author 2005-07-13 00:12:02. |

Rose of Sharonby SunnieeComment by brianlh: Very nice - but I'm wondering what's causing the pinkish hue on some of the petals when other parts of them are white? |
