This picture is very different from all the others. I like the idea, but some parts of the picture are not very clear. Otherwise than that, Great Job!

Hidden? Partially. Camouflaged? Not at all.
And the DOF bugs me.

I'm sorry, but my opinion is this is hiding not camouflage.
That said it is a very thought provoking image, evocative of "Field of Dreams'

Images that tell a story are always much more appealing than passive ones. This is an excellent response to the challenge. Your thoughtful title puts it in context and involves the viewer. The colours are subtle and attractive with the flattish light conveying the grey overcast day.

To score really high, you will need to be mindfull of composition and the rule of thirds. The column is such a dominating feature in the photo that to have it centred loses the potential of its power. I would encourage you to re-crop this for your own interest and report back after voting on how it looks with the patio heater just touching right of frame which would put the pillar on the vertical thirds line. Without putting a grid on it, the impression is that it's not straight although that could just be the heater or sloping ground under the table?

Comment by tpoc:
when i read "rained out", i think "black and white image"...
it's such a pretty setting, but empty--the pulled-back image lacks energy, imo.
i would be interested in seeing how this image would look as a closer shot, or as it is currently set up but with someone reacting to the wet environment...that kind of thing.

Comment by dsherwin:
The table, chairs and the ground should be the focal point, it looks like the tree is the focal point of the image, that's my 2 cents
