i'm afraid i don't understand the title. the image, in its shades of grey, is interesting, but i'm not sure what i'm looking at. they boy appears to be holding a helmet and a covered stick? i find myself feeling frustrated that i can't make sense of it. i do like the light source being in front and off to the left of the model, and i like the action captured in the photo.

i dont understand what the title means??? and the photo is dark so i cant even see what he is holding. i like the sillouette look with the light above. but for this challenge it needs to be lighter so i can see what he's doing.

I'm not sure what your title refers to, but that's neither here nor there. I'm focusing on the photos themselves in this challenge - since I see it as wide open. My favorite part of your photo is the helmet in the child's left hand. The right side of the photo is a bit dark for my tastes, but the overall use of black and white doesn't really give me a sense of celebration - almost the opposite, actually.

Unfortunately there are too many complementary pairs here to demonstrate the effect of one colour contrasted against its opposite. If you had selected, say the blue bottle with the spirals and either the yellow bottle or the orange bottle, you would have had a good demonstration of complementary colour contrast. Nice blue tones in the background and in the rocks would have added to the effect.

There is a stark sense of minimalism and simplicity in this image. I like the contrast between the white and the red tones of the stone :) Great job!
