	Open Range by hubbardr1 Comment by Dave Gordon: Nice rendition of the trees. I think this would be a great shot if cropped to get just a narrow band of the trees around the thick birch, cropping out the fallen log and the "cattle guard" sign. It's kind of busy as it is.

	Pretty in Purple by hubbardr1 Comment by electina: This is a little too dark for me. Maybe if the black was on the same side as the shadow on the flower so that it looked more like the flower was fading into blackness. I just doesn't quite work as it is. Sorry.

I like the lighting on the lower part of the photo and I probably would have cropped out everything and left the petal in the top right corner. As it stands, I don't like the lighting (or lack of) in the top part of the flower
