Critique Club Critique
(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) - Great colors, and the �burr� works well centered. Assuming it�s a burr (it could be other things), it meets the challenge well.
(2) BACKGROUND � nice complimentary color, and nicely out of focus � good DOF
(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL � Main subject is out of focus. A few of the appendages are in focus, though. A smaller aperture would have helped here to get the whole thing in focus. The background is nicely out of focus.
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL � No recommended changes.
(5) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO � Since I�m not really sure what I am looking at, I expect the main subject to be in focus. It is not, and really hurts this. The colors are great though.

If that is under MY skin... I need to see a doctor! hehe I would have liked to see more of the green thing. Seems like it was cropped short. Also appears blurry, but I can imagine the difficulty in focusing that small of an object. (7)

Initial thoughts
A little too dark and a little too tilted

Composition/ Content

Everything in the shot seems to draw me to the left of the photo and off of it. The angles and lines go hard that way. The tilt of the bridge make it feel almost as if it falling over. I wonder if you cropped this or if it is from the camera this way. It may have been better pulled back a little, showing more of the bridge and possibly even the water. If you were on a Ferry, you did a good job of hand holding the camera as it seems fairly sharp, I can see the markings on the flag.

Background
Seems fine.

Camera Work - Technical
As noted the focus is good, the tower on the far end is a little soft though and I find myself wishing I could see it better. I'm sure it was a tough shot to take. You may have wanted to underexpose a bit to lighten the bridge.

Digital Processing - Technical
I think the bridge is a bit too dark here. Perhaps by playing with the contrast you could have brought out a few more details without adding too much noise. I think a dark border would have worked well too.

Fits The Challenge
Definitely fits the challenge.

My Opinion On The Photo I originally scored this shot a five as did the vast majority of the voters. I think that it meets the challenge but didn't have quite enough oomph between subject and angle to really score high. Good job, and keep up the good work.
