Year, style and color decisionsby AJFIComment by mycelium: I feel like the decision should be clear without having to read this title. In this case, it isn't, so even though it's a nice picture in its own right, I don't think it meets the challenge well... |

Mixed Feelingsby AJFIComment by steveisout: Very compelling color swirl, but the overall photograph lacks the same interest. Perhaps a tighter shot using a narrower depth of field? The blue background just becomes less interesting comparatively and therefore distracting. |

Mixed Feelingsby AJFIComment by C_Steve_G: The pattern (and idea) is really neat, but the focus seems a bit soft. I think the blue background looks out of place. Perhaps if the bowl was in a white or tan sand the whole image would blend nicely. |
