First impressions are that the shot feels a little flat and the bottle draws my eye more than the fruit.

Technically this is ok but there are a couple of areas where you could improve. The overall feel is that the lighting is a bit flat and some more contrast would help. The composition is slightly off as the bottle is such a major element in the shot - it is a little bit crooked and feels cramped in the frame - a crop with the top of the bottle out of frame would have reduced it's impact somewhat. There is good separation from the background.

Artistically this is fine. For a still life challenge it is hard to do a lot more than you have here. The choice of cloth as a background works well.

In summary I find the shot pleasing but nothing special. The score it received is about where I'd put it.

I have to say I've had a couple of really easy shots to critique - hard to go wrong when the shots you get finish in the top of a very competitive challenge! Excellent job with merging the exposures - you obviously did it right and used a tripod (I keep trying to do it handheld and I can tell you it doesn't work nearly as well!). Nice touch with the overall processing - very vibrant and rich without feeling like it is overdone. And very nice use of those foreground rocks. A beautiful photograph! Congrats on the top twenty finish!
