Good to be aliveby AranchaComment by samtrundle: This is a really nice scene, but I can't help but feel like it needs a little something else to complete it - a couple of people strolling along the water perhaps ? I know I know, you probably didn't have a couple of spare people floating about, but as it is this image is a little bare. Good luck! |

Alameda Cristinaby AranchaComment by whagerbaumer: Nice angle, nice structure. Suggestions: 1. add border after reducing to submission size to avoid blurred border. 2. sharpen again after reducing to submission size. 3. Sharpen by converting to hsl, then sharpen lightness image only, then convert back to srgb. A 6. |

Alameda Cristinaby AranchaComment by rscorp: I very much like the triangular shape, the railing and the tone you chose for this photo. Good work. |

Good to be aliveby AranchaComment by ButterflySis: Nice colors. I wish I could see more of the water - either move to the right or up. I guess you were using the sand path as a leading line though. Nice image. |

Winter Roseby AranchaComment by Neil: Nice bokeh and good color contrast. Good capture of the flower, though light on the flower itself could be more dynamic. However, IMHO the biggest improvement here would come from a different crop--the vertical crop, tight around the flower, shows off the bokeh but doesn't do justice to the flower. Bokeh is supposed to enhance the foreground, make it pop, and thus should sit in the background serving to contrast but not drawing attention to itself. |
