I suppose if it were filled with a highly contagious strain of anthrax, but I would speculate that the apple, as implied by the nature of the title, is in fact safe.

I just love this picture, I feel as though I can just reach out and touch that lovely soft fur...and such an intense stare! I have 2 black cats and a new little pretty gray one who looks as though she went stepping through some white paint with her 2 back feet...cat's are such a joy aren't they? : }

Beautiful focus/DOF, forms in the background. I love the texture that the window screen makes in the left side of the window! The only things I would change would be to clone out the water drops on the window above his head and maybe crop some off the right side so the window divider is not in the center of the shot, and to remove a bit of the distracting white in the lower right. - 9

this could easily be extremely high, the white dots on the back of the cats head and along its back are noticeable tho. i give it a 9, only because of the white dots. The photo is set up excellently

interesting, but black cat barely qualifies as a silhouette! blends in with background in parts.more contrast required.
