The subject matter is decent, but the composition is nothing special. Also, it really lacks in contrast and the sky (weather) could have been better captured at a different time.

I may totally misunderstand this, but your title seems to trivialize the plight of this man. This pictures begs his respect and the title seems to defy that. The time stamp further degrades a fantastic image. Were these meant to take away from an otherwise champion shot?

Hmm, I don't care for the timestamp on the photo. That feature should be turned off for future submissions. I do like the composition of the photo. The stark walls and look of the subject are nice.

This could be a really top noitch pic, but you will get criticised for the date stamp (heavily) and the distracting ephemera around the old man. A tight crop around the man (perhaps with an image in which the socket is not sticking out of his head) adnI think that the lighting and subject matter would score highly. Even with the bits of sticky tape, the light and interest in the subject is fantastic. You are also not using all of your 640 pixel allowance... increase the size if you can.
