Jenna in skirtby jeffzoetComment by Glen King: Just wanted you to know how much I like this pic. The pose is graceful, her eyes are wonderful, the lighting is even. Next time, get her to smile, bet it's killer. |

Steph corset close-upby jeffzoetComment by Jutilda: This is really cool. The teal color of the corset is unusual (not red or black or white) and that adds to the overall appeal The detail is done well and the placement of the figure is good. I might've cropped out the black of her pants - but then you wouldn't see the tail of the ribbon, but I still thank that'd be ok. The shadowing on her back is really lovely. |

Loren backlitby jeffzoetComment by rblanton: This pose has outrageous potential, but her head and expression do not match the implied clawing upwards. Perhaps a head tilted back at a sharp angle implying focus on something above.. or not.. I am no portrait photographer, so take what I say with a grain..or train of salt. |

The Great Outdoorsby jeffzoetComment by Catherine_B: Pretty but ordinary when compared to some of the other shots in this challenge. I am giving this image a 5 because it is clear and a good quality, it just isn't as creative as other images. |

The Great Outdoorsby jeffzoetComment by e301: I like your sense of composition - there's certainly some movement to this presentation. Sky is good, I wonder if perhaps a little more ping from the greens might have given it some more attention-grabbing power. |

The Great Outdoorsby jeffzoetComment by jpochard: Beauty is a subjective thing, I know. In my scoring and comments I'm trying to score based on NOT whether or not I would think a particular subject beautiful, but on whether the photographer has succeeded in creating a beautiful photo. I look for the elements of color, lines, focus and dof interest, lighting, and a certain element of grace and lovlieness. I'm looking for a unique and creative appeal for the highest scorers. The description says to create a photo that makes the viewer think "that's beautiful", so it will undoubtedly be very subjective. (This is what I'm putting at the start of all of my comments, and I hope it is helpful.)
That being said, this looks like a lovely location. It also is probably more appealing in person than the photo actually shows. It just doesn't seem to capture anything particularly interesting imo. Maybe if you picked up a bit more detail in the dark foreground, it would help. |
