Watching craftby PollyBeanComment by PollyBean: Thanks for the comment.
When taking the photo I wanted to get the candy craft in focus, but as the lady was surrounded by people and moving, so the scene was over before I could get the shot I wanted. :( When I looked at this shot I liked the expressions of the people watching, but the girl on the left was looking at me, so thus the weird blurring. Agreed. Originally posted by glad2badad: I see where you applied what looks like gaussian blur - perhaps try feathering the blur substantially more so the effect is more gradual. If you want to lose the eyes entirely I would also up the gaussian blur level a few notches. |
I think I'll re-edit to try a softer feathering blur. Originally posted by glad2badad: I have a feel for where you wanted to go with this. Great idea. Just needs a little fine tuning...that of course is my humble opinion only! ;^) Smile and keep having fun! |

Out on the oceanby PollyBeanComment by SJCarter: Love the movement of the water and the pose of the gull. I agree that a slightly different crop might serve you well here - to get the main subject out of the dead center. I would also suggest deepening the tones of the water to create more contrast with the gull. Nice shot. |

Dead headby PollyBeanComment by SJCarter: Beautiful focus & DOF. The composition is excellent too. The lighting is a tad harsh (maybe consider a little burning?) and you might consider cloning out the cobweb. Still, a very striking image. |

Graphic Flowerby PollyBeanComment by SJCarter: Wow - this is REALLY cool! What a creative mind you have. So much going on here and yet it's basically a very simple image. Your focus, DOF, & tones are spot on. You really made it even more interesting with the lines you chose too. Very nice job. |
