The water trail behind the canoe truly does convey the stillness of the water. I gave this image a 9 and I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the top 10 or even ribbon. However this image may have been even better if you would have left out the tree in the foreground, as it breaks up the continuity of the still water and the sky just a touch.

I love the colors in this one. It's a bit of a stretch to me to have this one in the challenge (the canoe is moving, and it, rather than the water, seems to be the subject), but I still gave it an 8.
