Looks like the front edge of the "mushroom" is a bit out of focus. I acually like the textrue of the tree a bit better as the image is now, but think it would do better with more DOF

this has all the makings of a really fine photograph. it meets the challenge very well, is nicely composed and the exposure is good. Too bad about the very bright orange center of attraction being out of focus.

Interesting contrast between the orange (ornage) and the gray. The use of negative space at the bottom is effective. Since the title indicates that the mushroom is the focal point, I'd like to see it sharpened and perhaps other areas could be slightly off. Hope this is helpful.

I really like this picture. The colors in the record are great. There is a blind or something that I can see in the background. Its not distracting, I just wish it wasn't there. The only suggestion that I would have is that you should have zoomed in more so we could see the raindow better but no so much that you couldn't tell it was a record.
