Little did we know he would leave us so soon after taking this photo. I saved Samson from certain death 10 years ago at a kill shelter in Florida, he was 2-3 years old when he came to live with our family. He gave us 10 years of wonderful memories and his death was a complete shock to me as he was showing no signs of disease or ill health. He died in his sleep on my bed (favorite place to be) with the window open enjoying a nice spring breeze. He did his part in my life. Best friend I ever had.

Thanks for sharing in his memory.

What a poignant image. I got teary reading the sparse word description. I think I could have figured it out without any. Bless his heart. What lovely soft contrast. I hope the memories sustain!!

ok so I just commented on the other speedo shot with the words. I said I think they should be taken off, and now I have found one without. Although, the eyes on this one are a little creepy, did you lighten them?
