Burning the green fairyby bryantbusComment by Rebecca: This would have done better if it had more space on the left edge and showed the entire bottle. It looks rather shoved into that left corner. |

Burning the green fairyby bryantbusComment by klstover: Something about the composition seems a bit off. Maybe with the flame in the location it is in, there is more attention drawn to it - but with the brightness of the flame I think anywhere it is positioned would have worked. I don't know what type of composition I would prefer.. it just seems off. If I could put my finger on it I might mark down for it but as it stands now I will not. There is haloing around the glass and bottle and while not immediately obvious, it is noticable.
I like the colors - no, I adore the colors. I also love how the flame seems to be coming from the glass as well as the bottle. The lighting is good too, and while some people might not prefer the flash reflection on the bottle I think it adds a nice touch. |

Turkish Goldby bryantbusComment by Pixelstate: Hello from the Critique Club.
Hi Chris,
Firstly congratualtions on a well deserved top 30 place. This shot has a very professional feel to it, much like the rest of your portfolio. You have scored very well in some recent challenges and I think that a ribbon is very likely imminent. Excellent work.
As I mentioned I like the professionalism in this shot, perfectly exposed with a good choice of model. The composition is strong and the intention to add movement adds to the shot. If anything I think that it could have benefited from a little more movement to emphasise this intention.
Interestingly you did not secure many comments with this entry, which may indicate that the voters found this to be professionaly presented but not offering anything really different. You are obviously talented and maybe you might experiment with the next model shoot to really add impact with a less 'standard' approach. (if that makes sense?)
