Starting Lineby SeaSailComment by Artifacts: Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.
Great use of leading lines to direct the viewer toward the introspective world of the athlete thinking about the race. |

Starting Lineby SeaSailComment by ubique: This is a simple idea, executed with skill. The result is one of those especially effective & memorable images that makes me think, "Why couldn't I have done that?" The photography is competent, but the idea is really terrific. And what makes it even better is you've resisted the temptation to overdo it; the track shoes, the lanes, the dreams, and THE LINE ... that's the whole story. One of the most creative approaches to use of Leading Lines. Well done. 9 |

Starting Lineby SeaSailComment by inspir8tion: I like this shot. It looks a little hot around the face and right shoulder. But what a unique shot for this challenge. |
