I think this could be a artistic, creative image, but there are several problems. First, the cutting off of the meter is in an awkward place. Including all or none of it would have been better. Also, there are bits of random objects in the scene, but don't feel like an important part of the composition. The texture of the wall is interesting, however, and you could get closer to it to see more detail in the wall.

Not really a very inspiring composition I'm afraid, nor is the clarity quite there. Perhaps a perspective view looking up the pipe to the meter might have worked better?

well, nice idea but..
color good, lines good, lighting flat, confusing even for still life, out of balance, spots on wall distracting, not much thought put into it, overall very boring

I would like to see a different composition for this still life. It feels cut off to me. Perhaps either a tighter shot? I like the flower on the pole.

Based on your title I would have liked the shot much better if the meter was actually in the shot.
