Stationary Bike Riderby NowaytotellComment by awelsh: Lighting is unimaginitive.. on camera flash gives it snapshot feel. Natural light and/or off-camera flash would help this idea and shot tremenously. |

Don't use the on camera flash.
Experimenting with cheap Gloodlights from hardware stores can create astoundingly good pictures. Get the light to the side & soften it by shooting through some sort of difuser.

Lady in Redby NowaytotellComment by outland: I like this a lot. Some different choices of background colors might have made a big difference, though. Something that contrasts more with the model's hair and skin. You also might try framing her offset to the right on the rule-of-thirds line, say. Nice expression and nice pose. |

Just hanging out...by NowaytotellComment by kcm: Try to avoid direct flash. Use a slower shutter speed to bring up the exopsure in the background. Nothing special about what she is doing. |

Just hanging out...by NowaytotellComment by HeiSch: move her out of the middle, get closer or get further away. capture her whaen her hair is flying away (movement of the carousel), let her do something else than holding on to the rails |
