A door to historyby RonceComment by rox_rox: Nice composition. Great focus on the weeds; they make the difference between a picture of an old door and a compelling photograph. Good choice of sepia. |

A door to historyby RonceComment by er0k: brilliant photo. the hues and focus are spot on..and I like how the old / rundown building since it is out of focus, and therefore the 2nd thing you realize, almost comes as an after thought ("oh, I see")
to me this shows mother naturing replacing something obsolete built by man. good concept + execution! 10 |

A door to historyby RonceComment by JunieMoon: The door is not presented as the strongest subject. The grass is. As a picture, I love it. I think you did a very nice shot. However, for this challenge, it doesn't say enough about being obsolete. |

Bell in the rosesby RonceComment by L2: I don't understand the reason for the border on the left side of the shot. Otherwise, nice work! |

Bell in the rosesby RonceComment by srdanz: Aah, pity. You made a bad canvas resize mistake here. Everyone will comment on that, though. Now, for the remaining 90% of your photo:nice use of sepia, but as this challenge was about metal, I would not agree that sepia enhances the appearance of metal in this photo. The title indicates that it is a bell, hence metal, but without the title I would think of this as some sort of pottery work. 4. |

Bell in the rosesby RonceComment by dahkota: Not sure what the white on the left is for. I like the DOF, POV. Detail, focus, clarity well done. Haven't decided on the crop /composition yet. Not sure if I would like it better on the right or not as the rope cuts the image in half. |
