What a waste .....by willemComment by mcrael: I wouldn't call this "what a waste". I would have called this "what a crime". Good composition and color. |

What a waste .....by willemComment by Marsha: I like the leaves and the color they give. I don't care for the position of the cans. Had they all been together with the one at the top left or bottom right I think it would have better composition. |

splashby willemComment by willem: Thanks for your comments and ratings, 9th place with my first entry, not bad, especially considering it was a lucky shot, just an experiment which ended up with a reflection. I was trying to make a <A HREF="//www2.photosig.com/viewphoto.php?id=334027" target="blank" >drop shot<A> by placing a blue glas bowl in the sink and having water drops falling into it. One of the 300 shots caught the splash and because I had not paid enough attention to the background (the comment made by cq107 is absolutely correct) you can see the reflection of the white sink and even the overflow holes. Later shot with a yellow cloth turned up better in terms of color although I did not capture the right moment again. Taken handheld, 1/1000 s, F8, with a home made close-up lens from some lens elements of my old SLR zoom lens (need to use a close-up lens otherwise the camera needs to be to close and gets wet). The color is caused by flashing into the blue glas bowl, the water is just blank water. |
