The focus appears to be on the eyelid rather than the eye....usually, in these types of shots, the interest lies on the proverbial "window to the soul" The skin tone could be improved as well--the yellow cast lends an unhealthy feel to the image.

Of course, you have also managed to ignore the entire challenge description which wins you no favor here.

I like the creativity. But, this photograph belongs in this challenge like a beautifully composed poem belongs in a corporation's annual report. There are photo competitions on the internet that allow for submitting your best photo (or a photo of your choice), however, I believe this site is prompting you to take shots that you wouldn't have otherwise by followin the description of the challenge. I hope this comment is constructive. If your photo finishes lower than you had hoped this might be the reason. Good luck.
