Good light. The background is nice, and I just love the "expressions" cattle make. A few things would make it even better to me: The composition is good; although, I think a little more of the bottom of frame would give it more balance. There's a perceived "chopping" of the calf's feet. Mom's face is a little OOF. It would have even been better if you could have gotten a shot without the ears of that other cow behind her head.

That's just my nit-picking, because I really do like this one.

Just a small point about the caption: if it's the adult cows milk that's required, then surely the narrow depth of field would be better employed focusing on 'it', and leaving the calf out of focus, rather than the other way, as it is now.

i would love to see this same photo without the "mama" cow. that calf is just beautiful and the dry grass and the green leaves(BG) compliment the calf wonderfuly.I vote this a 9
