This feels a little too dark to me... maybe not, I'd have to compare to be sure. It's a nice image, I can practically smell the coffee just looking at it -- effective.

cool composition! I would have liked to see some spot lighting in the bin to bring out the cup...it gets lost in the darkness of the bin.

DOF is really too shallow, I'd like to see all of the bug in focus as well as a little of whatever it is he's standing on, otherwise it's just too abstract.

7 - Good shot, and perspective/angle, has more potential though in my opinion. Criticism; more definition, more color coming through. Technically, while no 'expert' in the rule(s), looks like you are pretty spot on to me, and indeed the application enhances this shot in my opinion. Just like to see the 'visitor' really stand out more.
