Colobus Babyby JeffryZComment by wphunt10: Again, one of the primate babies absolutely captivates me. This one too. Lovely in the B&W with the light green, 9. |

Colobus Babyby JeffryZComment by tanguera: What a face!!! Can't tell if he's happy or about to cry. The selective desat is distracting - the green in the foreground keeps pulling my eye there. |

A Day At the Beachby JeffryZComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: An image that immediately appealed to me; subtle, understated and flat-out pretty to look at. You have captured wonderful light here and an interesting story to boot.
Critical stuff: Just about choices really - I wonder whether a tighter crop on the walking figure and the station might work well too. Also, the coloration works but I wonder about monochrome too.....
Overall: A very nice image - top drawer stuff. |

A Day At the Beachby JeffryZComment by Yo_Spiff: Watch your compression. This seemed a touch soft to me, and I can see the barest hints of compression artifacts, so I looked at the file size. At 52k, you had a lot more overhead and using a less compression would have likely gotten some more clarity out of this scene. I'll probably be the only anal retentive compression cop to notice it. Well done, in spite of my nitpicking. |
