NoT oNLy PeaS are GreeN !by MeShoKhaNComment by atupdate: Back to comment: The peas in the foreground definitely meet the challenge but the image has a couple of technical shortcomings. First, I like the composition of this image, as the solid background works well with the peas and the green teapot. However, there is an object on the left in the background that is only partially there and really adds nothing to the composition. Second, the lighting on green teapot is very good; the lighting on the peas is harsh, especially on the white granular objects (ice? salt?). Lastly, as with the lighting, the focus on the teapot is pretty good but the focus on the peas leaves something to be desired. If you critically analyze your image, you will see that the main subject, the peas, is not featured very well in this photo. |

An Old Masterpiece in Presentby MeShoKhaNComment by rick13601: I believe the intention of the challenge was to take a b&w photo in color mode. This is why desaturation was discouraged. To make it more challenging. I don't think the challenge was to shoot a color photo with b&W in it. It may be a suttle difference in interpretation. Your photo has a nice perspective though. |
