-by rinacComment by aimeethetoo: Beautiful shot and a score north of 6 is always a great thing! Nice composition (especially the foot steps) but overall it feels a wee bit too dark. Possibly if you had the luxury of shooting during a different time of day it might have been brighter? The border choice accents the darkness but on a more positive note, it makes it seem like I'm watching a beautiful movie that was filmed in the South Pacific. Pretty sky & water. |

Holding onby rinacComment by aimeethetoo: I remember voting on this - 6. This surely is a "leading line" but in a different sense than it is usually thought of in photography! :) Very attractive colors and sky and I like the slant on the horizon. The clouds could use a little brightening IMO (might have been accomplished with slective colors - not sure). Very cool shot that I think might have received a better score in a different challenge. |

The Last Shepherdby rinacComment by aimeethetoo: Just beautiful and a great score to boot. Perfectly lovely golden tones in the sky with such a pleasing gradient. So well done! |

Geothermal Paletteby rinacComment by aimeethetoo: I don't find this shot boring at all. In fact, I was one of your seventeen 7's. The colors are marvelous and the steam is so cool. Nice choice on the crop & composition accenting the golden tones in the foreground yet pulling the eye deeper into the picture with the interesting smoke and vibrant sky. Nicely done. Just a challenge full of very good competition. |

Geothermal Paletteby rinacComment by talj: The colours are lovely Rina and I like the angle as it helps lead the viewer along the water into the shot :o) |

Geothermal Paletteby rinacComment by macrothing: 8 - Really like the perspective in this, including the angle across the water and the showing of the 'steam'. Like the elements in the water, just wish they were more defined. Overall very clean and nice colors - but wonder about them 'boosted' just a fraction, whether that may have given this a little extra. Could just be another case of 'this size doesn't do this justice'. edit:to add commentsMessage edited by author 2006-10-08 16:31:53. |
