A Couple of Funky Stringsby seebrownComment by macrothing: 6 - Good idea/concept, if original then well done. Criticism; obviously more definition in the strings. I like the crop and angle, perhaps slightly different lighting, seems a little 'yellow', but maybe that's what you were going for. |

A Couple of Funky Stringsby seebrownComment by AllanL: The motion of your string is going up/down. The view of the guitar is left right. I find that distracts from my perception of the motion of your strings, which is what I think you intended. |

A Light On Whiteby seebrownComment by seebrown: Received a few questions as to how I did this one. First of all the light bulb is ON and is connected to wires. If you look closely at the base you can see a very small fine silver wire wrapped around the last thread ... this is the neutral wire. The other wire is soldered to the very tip of the base (you can see the little bump) .. this is the live wire.
After attaching the wires to the bulb I hung it upside down, using the wire to suspend it at a 90 degree angle (the gauge of wire that I used was VERY heavy, which allowed for them to support the weight of the bulb at the required 90 degree angle). I placed the wires through a piece of white paper and then wired the whole thing up to AC! (Warning do not try to do this at home if you don't know what you are doing!)
Took the photo at f4.0 and 1/500 ... used photoshop to lighten the image a little to blend a little of the bulb in with the background, making it look very "bright".
Thanks for all your comments! |
