I like the color saturation here. I don't get the title here. Marching?

that is truly gorgeous. the small amount of fog remaining allows the light to penetrate but yet give a bit of "atmosphere". thanx for sharing

I think you captured a great expression. The image looks just a bit soft (especially in the nose and mouth). Were you shooting at the 300 end of the lens? Full open, I bet it's soft at that end. The eyes are nicely in focus and that's important. The background is a pleasant blur. I think the biggest limiting factor in this shot, although you made a valiant attempt at including it with your title, is the fence. It just doesn't appeal to the eye. I know you could do nothing about it, but it probably limits the shot nonetheless.

This is such an emotive shot! I like the composition, and the DOF you used here to get the eyes clear and sharp, though, blur the background and foreground. This technique stucks him (her?) more between the limits of shallow DOF. If I were a member, I would give this one a 7 or 8.

IMO the problem is that among so many entries the voters set up a sequence and they vote lower due to the huge amount of great photos than usual. Cheer up, this one is a great shot!

I am going to try to predict what it is for each photo: Yours is ....light in long exposure.
