"green" giants by rachelellenComment by oscarthepig: The bright patch of sky competes a little bit with your giants. Overall, it is a very pleasing composition. The rolling hills and fences could maybe be a touch brighter to bring out some more detail, but on the other hand, the range of tones they add to the image is beneficial. I really like the B/W conversion. I'd like to see the color version, too. |

day 1 - oleander.JPGby rachelellenComment by Paul: A really lovely image of a great looking flower. I feel like I am nit-picking, but I think that a slight increase in exposure, contrast and saturation would make this pop. |

day 1 - oleander.JPGby rachelellenComment by MaryO: Fun to notice details on something you've probably seen a million tmes before, isn't it? Pretty flower but after reading the other comments I think I will stay far away from this one in person! |

day 1 - oleander.JPGby rachelellenComment by rachelellen: Gregory, that's so sad about your dog.
We grew up with an oleander tree beneath our windows so we were told again and again how poisonous it was and we were petrified to go near it. Plus that bush was ALWAYS infested with aphids. Eew. :-P |

day 1 - oleander.JPGby rachelellenComment by GregoryB: Beautiful picture. Horrible bush. A branch of an oleander actually killed one of my dogs. My daughter was throwing a stick to him and he was retrieving it for her - he was dead within hours. |

day 1 - oleander.JPGby rachelellenComment by jomari: Oleanders are so pretty, in whatever colour. This delicately shaded pink is one of the prettiest and makes a charming picture with its red buds and green leaves. I am suprised that they get infested with caterpillars in Sth Florida ( yakatme) because they are seriously poisonous. It just goes to show that everything has its place in the chain of life.
