naturally complementaryby rachelellenComment by macrothing: 4 - Difficult, variation in composition perhaps, or a much tighter crop, as well as more control of the 'yellow petals', but likely difficult focal-wise with where the focal point currently is. Minor details like the 'hair'/something in the center 'eradicated' at time of shooting too, would help this in my opinion. |

YEE-HAW!!by rachelellenComment by timfythetoo: Fun concept but I would think very tough to execute well. Not sure how to comment on this one. It may have been cooler if you had been able to capture half the car coming into frame and half going out to make you feel like it was really racing through the frame. |

rainy daisyby rachelellenComment by jorr: Like the idea, love the drops of water, and overall a really nice picture. I agree that just a little bit brighter yellow probably would have jumped the score up a wee bit more. I also would have preferred to see the ends of all the petals, but that is just my personal opinion. |

YEE-HAW!!by rachelellenComment by Melethia: I realize this is meant to show the progression of a jump by the car, but it looks more like four distinct cars in four locations. |

rainy daisyby rachelellenComment by thomaspeople: I've read a few of the other comments and your post about the shot. And yes, there's a little problem with the background, but honestly, it seems to fit the point of the shot. This is a rainy day picture, so the sun is not bright and the daisy is sitting peacefully in the twilight. I actually think yo could have darkened the one bright area around the petals just a bit to soften the appearance of flash.
It's a good shot and you clearly deserved to move on to the next round.
Congratulations. |

rainy daisyby rachelellenComment by Melethia: I liked this one quite a bit Rachel, and honestly feel it should have socred higher. It it not too dark to me at all - I tend to like things darker than the average DPC'er does, it seems. It's got a very rich and luxurious feel to it, and is one of the times I don't mind the "spray it with water!" approach - it works well here. Composition is excellent. |

rainy daisyby rachelellenComment by nards656: This looks like a very well done shot that needs a levels adjustment. Sorry to continue the trend of "too dark" comments, but it's a touch dark :) Beautiful composition, and I like the water. |
