Human (detail)by gjumiComment by shutterpuppy: very old-school anatomy text. like the focus and background choice. border is a little thick and distracting. - 7 |

Planet Oceanby gjumiComment by tnun: I kinda like it. And the idea is immense, definitely more appealing to me than a "good" this or that. However I think the photo could or should be better: the corner vignetting seems to work against the subtle curve of the horizon, and I wonder if more or less contrast between sea sky would help. (I'm still working out how to do water, so this may not be on). - Glad you defended your idea, though I'm not sure about the hairless monkeys. |

Human (detail)by gjumiComment by lovethelight: I really like the texture here. The really deep depth of field really makes the parts that are in focus really pop out. The purpleish background really bugs me though because the foot is in a sepia kind of color. |

Human (detail)by gjumiComment by timfythetoo: Good idea. I think the DOF is a bit too shallow. A bit more of the foot in focus could have allowed for greater detail to be seen and worked better IMO. |

Planet Oceanby gjumiComment by gjumi: Thanks for having a look at this photo. Believe me, it's better than you think...well, if you don't believe me, than just think about it...anyway.
This photo is good just because it has no subject, no golden sun, no islands, no silhouettes, no beaches...it's just our planet, wrongly named Earth...
And, what the hell does Planet Ocean cares if some hairless monkeys start feeling hot? |
