Harsh lighitng, but the neg space does so much for it by not only framing it, but by inviting our thoughts to wander beyond the image frame and to other such nuts and leaves and other bizarre things.

I love the blue sky, it is brilliant.

But you see that blemish in the middle of the nut? I feel that it isnt large enough to creat an interest, but looks a little off putting. Also the leaf is very damaged. I would have liked to see a bright healthy looking leaf personally. =)

I got the advice from a magazine that you have to be very careful when choosing subjects and notice all the small details/errors as they are magnified and easily spotted.

I find this very stunning, I really liked it during the voting and I still do =o)

I find the use of color here to make this entire photo. Pulling out the oranges makes this photo standout from the others. I am not about to sit here and try to pick this apart when I like it so much. Only question I have is why did you put the border on it? The photo is so pretty without it and I'm not sure the border did anything for it.


This definately meets the challenge and was very well done.
