Icy Rooftopby mikebeznerComment by Sammie: This might have been better if you had shown more of the gingerbread house so it would have been easier to know what it was. I really had to look at it for a while to understand what it was and how it related to the title. It is really a good idea for the challenge. |

Icy Rooftopby mikebeznerComment by Melethia: While this answers the challenge, the shot seems to be a little out of focus. Based on the title, I trust this is a gingerbread house? |

Icy Rooftopby mikebeznerComment by L1: This is a good attempt...the pattern is there, but the angle in which you've captured it is a bit flat. There's not any kind of dynamic in the image to keep the voter's eyes moving through the picture. You also have a bit of a yellowy color cast going on, which will probably deduct points from your score. Your image is on the small side; always use the entire 640 pixel width/length when you can because people like big images. I hope I don't sound too critical or condescending...I just want to help people improve. Perhaps moving to the right or left, and angling the camera a bit so that we can see some depth in the image...the 3D of the icing and the candies...it would help. Use your editing program to sharpen up the lines, enhance the colors, and remove the color cast. PM me if you have any questions or comments about what I've said. Good luck! :) |
