In what turned out to be a horrific blood-bath, Ed and Henry began fighting for the attention of Matilda, a lovely lass that was the talk of the flock. The fight was brutal, violent, and resulted in the permanent disability of both the foolish lads.

Tragically, it was also all for naught, as Matilda's love was actually reserved for Patricia, and the lads' foolishness was mocked for years.
