Good shadow capture. Not sure what lighting was used but maybe some WB to get a little more of natural background color. A white background would have made the image "pop" a little more.

yes abstract, yes shadows, no pattern
focus it too soft. Paralell or squared off lines and better focus could have made this shot unique.

A good idea. I wish you had shown it much bigger. You've wasted a lot of your pixel allotment on the ugly black border.
