I enjoy photos like these. I would have used a higher aperture setting to try to get more of the grain detail. But I like what you did here.

This is a cool shot, I especially like how the eagle is looking through the rest of the picture, nice job leaving that space to the top and right. For this specific challenge I would rather see the bird doing something though, the them fauna to me is animal life, which, in my mind, has the animals doing something. Great shot though.
