I see a compostional flaw or what have you it looks as if thow the dog has someting in his mouth but its the rock in the background. there are so many ways you could have cropped this. I would try keeping the dogs reflection and cropping out all but the splash that arches and his feet. could be a stonger compostion but thats me. more important than that I would have cropped out the top section as it adds little to your compositon.

nice shot. i think it could have benefitted from a slight rotation to the left that would have made the grass/dirt 'horizon' a bit more horizontal.
