I like the idea behind this one, of the pork chop cooking over the open flame.. but I think it gets a bit lost way back there. I would also turn the date imprint off before taking shots for the challenge.

Interesting! I like the shallow depth of field and the onion being forefront. I wish that the date weren't there, and that the onion were on a surface other than white, so that it stood out more. Good luck!

What's that date doing in the image? Also, since the pork chop is the subject, it should be featured in the picture rather than in the background and out of focus.

The date just threw me off. If you could have, you should have taken out the date. I would have given it a 6. Also, maybe focusing more on the pork chop rather than the onion would have been better, at least that's my opinion on it. So composition wise, it's not working too well, but it's not horrible either. It's just good. I'll applaud you on the lighting though it looks good like that. For that I give you a 5.
