Mount Bakerby lamentComment by bod: My eye is drawn more to the sky than the land. I guess that's the mountain in the far distance? I'm also finding the treetop at the front a bit distracting. The sky is very nice but needs to be sitting over something a bit more attention grabbing. |

Mount Bakerby lamentComment by moondoggie: I think this photo suffers from a lack of focus. It also seems to lack a subject, mood or pattern to it. The trees sticking up in the lower right also detract from the image. |

Mount Bakerby lamentComment by mariomel: Too bad the day was not a little clearer. Also, I find you have included too much sky in your framing of this picture. Nice use of the slope in the most forward mountain. |

Four Cardsby lamentComment by PTLParsons: You realize we must assume the 4th card is there, as there is no sign of it. The focus is good and the composition is good. I like the dark background. Crop is fine. Frame doesn't add or take away, to me. 6 PTL |

Riders On The Stormby lamentComment by DougPaz: Hi Nikita, Greetings from the Critique Club };-)
Initial thoughts
Interesting shot, meets the challenge, colors are great.
Composition/ Content
A nice abstract showing motion a couple of ways, the lights moving and the road in the bottom right. The colors are really nice and your "bouncing" lights are crisp.
Background
It appears that the sky is either just before the sunrise or after the sunset although it could be lights over a city. The blue color is conducive to this shot.
Camera Work - Technical
Focus seems good for what you were apparently trying to do.
Digital Processing - Technical
No qualms here either.
Fits The Challenge
Fits the challenge.
My Opinion On The Photo I originally scored this shot a four which is what most of the voters did as well. I think that it meets the challenge but you certainly took a chance with voters with the abstract angle. The shot personnally didn't do much for me but you can see by the comments that some folks really liked it. That is the chance you take here with an abstract. The important thing is how much you liked it! Good job, and keep up the good work.
I would be happy to talk further about this shot if you would like to contact me.
