Fine shot, but I don't know, I just don't get a strong emotion from this. She is wearing a prettly blue sweater. Looks kinda hotelish. 6 Swash

Would like to see this cropped more in a vertical format.

Nice lighting in this shot. I think if the person was further back in the hallway - and a bit smaller the feeling of blue might come across more.

self portrait???? i like the picture....... wearing blue, or seeing someone in that colour has a calming effect, especially a light blue - even if actual mood of the person is something else. For me, the latter does not apply, as the expression, is appropriate to the image, I can't decide how blue this person is. Tears are blue, blue sweaters calm me. undieyatch

i think the photo would have been more powerfull if you had cropped the sides off, made it black and white, or taken the photo from a position a little further away, maybe in portrait (as opposed to landscape) and given some sense of distance between you and the subject. she looks sad - which i think is what you are trying to capture - but it looks too much like a snapshot.

I think if you had cropped this where it was just the girl it would have a greater impact. As it is, the walls take dominance over the subject.

COMPOSITION -CONTENT - This is a good shot but the vertical cropping has detracted from the impact. I would like tosee something of what the soldier is looking back at. My screen is showing a bit of compression artefacts but this may not be obvious on another pc.
CAMERA WORK -TECHNICAL - Colur and lighting are good.
DIGITAL PROCESSING - TECHNICAL - Cropping could be improved upon and resizing
YOUR OPINION ON THE PHOTO - I am left wondering what the soldier is looking back so worriedly at also the general looks rather grim faced and not really displaying national pride!
