Yes, I used food coloring in order to provide much more contrast than a regular Chlorine or pH test would. Believe it or not, each side of my pool tester only had one drop of food coloring put in. That's the closest I could come to some sort of pink shade for the Cl. The same happened with the yellow (pH) side.

Safe to Swim?by PhotologistComment by Army of nOne: This is funny. I clean the pool at my apartment complex and this pool is DANGEROUS! Very over chlorinated and acidic enough to wash your skin away. Food coloring I presume. Made me chuckle seeing as how I use that device 5 days a week. |
