Ah, yes. That IS a simple pleasure, and dangerous too! ;^) That's why my alarm clock is on the other side of the room. He-he. As far as your image goes, it's composed just fine. I like the angle and it even works in a square crop as you've done. Exposure, clarity, focus...all fine. I know it's hard, but images can really show the dirt/dust that you barely see with the naked eye. That's my only complaint (a minor one at that) - a little more attention to detail would probably boost this .5 to 1 point in scoring.

I believe it was the Long Beach Concert Band. Just the drummers (snare, tenor, and bass) were having a reunion. There were drummers in their 20's up to the 50's+ in age. They assembled on the walkway at the beach early one evening to have a impromptu jam session.
