Old Timerby timj351Comment by Sonifo: Choo Choo! Now that is an old train. Great picture. I like how I can see the details. |

Old Timerby timj351Comment by itsaghostcar: this is a great subject, but I feel like there may have been another angle that could have captured the essence of the train better ... it's hard to tell not being there. Maybe using some DOF to get the viewer to concentrate on a particular part of the train whilst still showing what the object is. |

Old Timerby timj351Comment by langdon: Great composition, although the sky sort of bleeds over into the train. I think shooting at a different time of day and/or maybe a slightly quicker exposure or greater aperature would darken it and make it not seem to over-exposed at the top. Otherwise, I really do like it. |

Old Timerby timj351Comment by shortredneck: This really is an ancient train. Good angle. It is still facing upwards even though you have it at a slight angle. This is a great picture. |

Old Timerby timj351Comment by TrickyBuddha: Holy cow! I love this picture. I love it to death! Rich green grass, a beautiful train dressed up in rust and moss... definitely one of the top photos this week, even if you're probably going to get knocked by others for not having a neck-craning angle of UP. Too bad you couldn't have gotten more color into the sky (i.e. taken the picture on a day where there was a worthwhile sky). That definitely would have added a point to the score. |

Old Timerby timj351Comment by jmsetzler: I wish i had an opportunity to spend a few hours with this old man and my camera... I love your subject! I think this is a *perfect* candidate for black and white or sepia tones. Both modes seem to help convey antiquity. I don' t know how the contrast would be on the train but it would be worth seeing! Excellent photo! |

Old Timerby timj351Comment by Maverick: I really like train pics (my last one was one, didn't do as well as I'm sure yours is going to do though). Cropping is a bit tight, but other than that this is a nice shot |
