I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed that we're just crashing into a tarp rather than a wall of gnarly sea. Yet, crashing into the tarp probably will have a better outcome for a little wooden boat. |

| 06/11/2014 12:46:24 PM | BODHI B WOLIFby whitewolfComment by aliqui: Beautiful pup! She looks so soft. The purple around her neck kind of takes the viewer out of where they typically want to be when they see an image of a wolf. Personally, I imagine Alaskan wilderness, and this wolf is running free but has taken time out to check out this strange person. Without the collar there's more threat to the photographer, and I think that gets you bonus points in DPC scoring. With all that said, this is your pet, so it's not about running wild in Alaska at all. It's about belonging to a loving family in Maine, yet still getting to play in the snow. Either way, it's a beautiful animal, and you did a wonderful job photographing her. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 06/11/2014 12:38:43 PM | HOUSE PLANT OR TREE HOUSE? by whitewolfComment by aliqui: That homeowner is someone I'd like to meet. Imagine all the people telling them they're crazy, and yet they did it anyway. The way you've chosen to photograph it kind of makes me laugh. You could have gotten fancy with the composition or something, but no, you chose straight on, no frills. For this challenge, it's almost like you were saying, "Here's this really weird house, nuff said!" There is no argument in the slightest that, indeed, something is not quite right here. |
| 06/11/2014 12:36:01 PM | OUTSIDE THE INNby whitewolfComment by aliqui: This makes me want a burger... really bad. I think it's those menus. Our local burger joint has menus like that. I can feel them in my hand. Mmm, burger. |
| 06/11/2014 12:34:39 PM | Abstract - Moving in Colorby whitewolfComment by aliqui: This is something I could see hanging in my house given the right placement. There's great colors, and a sense of movement without making me motion sick. |
| 06/11/2014 12:32:28 PM | RURAL STATION - HEADING NORTHby whitewolfComment by aliqui: Ahh, a beautiful Maine fall. Great colors, as to be expected. I really like your composition. The high perspective makes me feel like I could be on that train, and the leading line of the tracks makes me feel like we're going somewhere. It would be a really fat train, but it seems possible that a person on the train could have taken this photo. Though, I will say, watch out for that branch! |
| 06/11/2014 12:29:12 PM | FEATHER-1.jpgby whitewolfComment by beatabg: I really like the lights and shadows here. Nice tones. It's really nice when something as simple as a feather is made important through the way you arranged the photograph. Very nice. |
