It's a bit hot on the lower left. This cold be improved by moving the light source further away. Not too much though or you'd lose the good quality of light on the rest of the shot. Good texture and overall well done.

cool subject with lots of texture. i'd like it if there was more of an emphasis on a single feather though so my eye doesn't wander so much

Very abstract in concept and execution. It could have used a little more focus as the fine detail of the barbs are lost in the overall neutral color tone of the image when viewed normally on a monitor. Standing back from the image improves it's over all impact significantly which would indicate that a more macro style lens would have been a better choice.
